The challenge

A 5-person photography studio was storing 2TB+ of client photos across Google Photos, Dropbox, and WeTransfer. Between storage costs, client delivery fees, and privacy concerns around storing client photos on Big Tech servers, they needed a better solution.

The solution

Deployed Immich for photo management and client galleries, Nextcloud for file sharing and delivery, and a simple portfolio site. All client photos are now stored on their own server with automatic backups to Cloudflare R2.

Our clients trust us with their most personal moments. Having those photos on our own server instead of Google's gives both us and our clients real peace of mind.
